PRINCETON — Verna B. Crain, 84, of Princeton passed away at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at home in Princeton.
Born Dec. 26, 1927, in Tampico to Eugene and Verna (Hubbard) Travis, she married Walter Raymond Crain Oct. 7, 1944, in Princeton He died May 2, 1996.
She was a waitress. She retired from Harper-Wyman in Princeton.
She was a member of Princeton Moose Lodge 1339.
Surviving are three sons, Walter (Gerri) Crain of Conroe, Texas, Paul David (Terri) Crain of Ottawa and Charles Crain of Prescott, Wis.; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Lester of Princeton and Elizabeth Lange of Princeton; one brother, Robert (Sandy) Travis of Paducah, Ky.; and her cat, Precious Crain.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Everett, Arthur and Edward Travis; and one great-granddaughter, Keyonna Crain.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Marvin Claassen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Verna B. Crain.
Pallbearers: Kelly Caffee, Zackary Mantzke, Kevin Crain, Dyllan Crain, Charles Travis and Raymond Travis. Honorary Pallbearer: George Watson.
