Celebrating diversity

As shown in this photo from last year’s foreign language fair, Bureau Valley High School students will again bring ethnic dances, foods, costumes and songs to this year’s annual foreign language fair, set for March 1 in the high school commons in Manlius.

The community is invited to the Bureau Valley High School Spanish and German club’s annual foreign language fair and buffet, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Adult admission is $1; children are free.

Also on March 1, the Hall High School foreign language students will present their annual foreign language fair from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school’s gym and gym lobby in Spring Valley. Hall’s French and Spanish students will portray street entertainers, jesters, ballet dancers and mimes, providing free entertainment at 7:15 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free to the Hall fair.
