NORMAL — Advanced Asphalt Co. of Princeton was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation to receive an award for “exceptional work” performed during the 2011 construction season.
At the 105th annual convention and business meeting of the Associated General Contractors of Illinois AGCI) held in Normal, Advanced Asphalt was selected by IDOT in the “Portland Cement Concrete paving” category. The award was in recognition of realignment and reconstruction of Route 178 from north of Lincoln Street to south of Johnson Street in Utica.
The AGCI is a “statewide” highway heavy and utility construction association headquartered in Springfield. Membership includes more than 175 general contractors, their subcontractors and suppliers. AGCI is affiliated with the AGC of America in Alexandria, Va.
