Free throws were the difference in the game when Princeton called on former NCIC rival Kewanee Tuesday night. The Tigers made them Tuesday (17-18) and the Boilermakers didn’t (17-29) as PHS went into enemy territory to pull out a 66-60 win.

“It was nice to get a win on the road against a Kewanee team that has been playing very good as of late. Free throws were the key down the stretch,” PHS coach Jesse Brandt said.

Jacob Fisher had a usual game of late, leading the Tigers (13-13) with 22 points. Brandt said Cole Evenson had one of the his best games of the season, netting 12 points on the night.

The Riveters beat Princeton 54-48 in the sophomore game. Garrett Duffin led the Kittens with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Erie 66, Bureau Valley 46: The Storm couldn’t crack the Cardinals’ rule, falling on the road Tuesday in Three Rivers Conference play. The Cardinals took a 34-20 lead and coasted to victory behind Jacob Johnston (17 points) and Zack Maloney (12 points). Freshman guard Parker Neuhalfen led the Storm (11-2, 7-5) with 17 points.
