Spring Garden Seminar to be held
OGLESBY — The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners of LaSalle County and the Horticulture Club at Illinois Valley Community College are hosting a Spring Garden Seminar open to the public on March 10. This seminar will be held at Illinois Valley Community College, 815 N. Orlando Smith Avenue, Oglesby. The seminar will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m.
Topics for the session include: Winter Tree I.D., Vines in the Home Garden, Climate and Our Gardens, Nectar and Pollen Plants in Illinois, Honey Bee Quiz for the Garden Day, Summer Bulbs, New Ideas to Enliven, Enrich, & Enchant Your Garden, Don’t Blame the Plant, Theme Gardens, Perennial Garden Design, Backyard Birding, Growing and Using Culinary Herbs, and Create a Certified Illinois Herb Garden.
The cost of the seminar is $35, which includes continental breakfast, lunch, handouts and much more.
